| 7 WMAK signed on the air in July 2004 as a digital, high-definition television station in Knoxville, Tennessee. As an independent (non-network affiliated) TV station, 7 WMAK airs syndicated programs like The People's Court, Judge Mathis and Family Feud as well as recent and classic movies. 7 WMAK's transmission tower is located on Sharps Ridge just north of downtown Knoxville, and the broadcast signal covers all of the East Tennessee viewing area. In fact, 7 WMAK has one of the strongest digital television signals east of the Mississippi River. You'll find high-definition (16x9 widescreen) output on Channel 7-1 and standard-definition (4x3) output on Channel 7-2. 7 WMAK is locally owned and operated by Knoxville Channel 7, LLC. |
